The Federal Housing Administration on Thursday reported it would pause the necessary successful day for its electronic appraisal shipping module because it is “reassessing areas of [its] progress and implementation.”

“FHA strongly recommends that sector associates pause EAD onboarding and immediate integration activities until finally final determinations are manufactured about the digital appraisal supply procedure for loans originated for FHA insurance policy endorsement,” FHA explained in its marketplace notification. “This advice is only for the FHA Catalyst: Digital Appraisal Supply Module and does not effects integration or onboarding things to do for any other FHA Catalyst module. The module was released as a pilot in 2020 with no set deadline for creditors to transition. Then, in September of 2021, leaders at the FHA stated creditors would have to make the change to FHA Catalyst by March 14, 2022. The FHA at the time reported the module would allow the company to develop its data assortment and evaluation abilities. It would also allow creditors to electronically submit, track and control one-spouse and children assets appraisals.

But in February, the company pushed back the mandatory day to March 14, 2023.

No new date has been introduced.

The FHA Catalyst platform has been a brilliant spot in the Office of Housing and City Advancement’s historic IT structures.  

A HUD Business of Inspector General report published in 2021 reported that “to day, FHA Catalyst has been referenced as the most successful effort and hard work because of to its elevated efficiencies and charge financial savings results.”
